Operational fit and assurance
Explore genuine areas of need, command and control, competence, interoperability, mobilisation, welfare and safe role boundaries.
For potential partners
We are seeking thoughtful early dialogue with organisations that hold responsibility, expertise or trusted community roles across wildfire resilience.
We are not offering deployable teams. We are asking where a properly governed volunteer organisation might add value in future, and what standards and limits partners would require.
Who we want to hear from
Each partner group brings a different duty, perspective and operating context. The model should reflect that reality.
Explore genuine areas of need, command and control, competence, interoperability, mobilisation, welfare and safe role boundaries.
Understand national and local resilience priorities, public accountability, cross-border considerations and sustainable governance.
Consider preparedness, access, vegetation and fuel management support, community engagement and post-incident recovery.
Learn from established approaches to competence, callout, team welfare, remote-area operations and statutory-service relationships.
Connect with Local Resilience Forums, voluntary-sector networks, environmental bodies, research organisations and community groups to avoid duplication and find useful interfaces.
What we can explore
Non-negotiable foundations
Volunteers would never independently attend an incident.
The model must complement professional and established voluntary services.
Partnership, approval and activation must be explicit—not implied.
Capability must not outpace governance, competence or resources.
Open an early dialogue
We welcome exploratory conversations, challenge and practical insight. A conversation does not imply endorsement or commitment.
